As a few of you may have noticed, some of the site-based gens have stopped working. Some…not all..which is rather puzzling.
Over the next [inditerminate time period] I’m going to be going through and seeeing if I can get them working again , i have a few ideas why SOME are working and some are not.
The ones I can’t get working again, I’m going to be replacing, using Chartopia.
Whilst it doesnt have all the features I would like, in a way, this is better in the long term as being less-featured cluttered means less chance for things to break and go wrong, and the folks there are always working to improve things and have not long added an API system, which looks promising. Plus the embeded feature works for posts and pages.
Anyway, as a test, I’ve added “Secret Soceity Names” using the Chartopia format to the free to use gens as a page in it’s own right. You *may* have to click on the gen twice, once to selact it, the second time to roll.
One feature I do like is that rolls made can be copied to the clipboard for copy and pasting, whih is VERY handy!
Before I go through and start checking/adding the new format gens, I’ll be tinkering with the formating/page templates etc first, so I don’t have to keep rebuilding things – A little bit of work now will help a ton in the future.
